As a resident of a very large urban area as well as an avid traveler, I found this book to be incredibly valuable as I was able to learn a lot that would help me should I ever need to survive whether at home or abroad. I think Bogdan and Joe did an amazing job of explaining exactly how to do everything that I wouldn't have ever thought of... from how to catch and cook fish, to how to build shelter, to how to mentally and physically prepare *now* so that should an emergency arise, I won't be off guard. With the possibility of civil unrest in today's society, you never know when you might need the techniques taught in this survival guide. He covers most of the common possibilities, like snow, desert, tropical, and urban and how to survive in each -- from gathering food, water, and shelter and managing first aid. Even if you do not read it cover to cover -- it would be wise to keep it as a reference and practice some of the techniques from time to time, so that if the circumstance arises, you can ensure that your family will survive a crisis. If that day comes, don't worry, you can read this book and feel prepared for that and calm as ever. It's amazing how much facts this book contains on survival and it's the perfect guide. I think that it is pretty useful to read this and to have this in your collection, because who knows, maybe one day this will be valuable as gold. It teaches you a lot including how to develop a survival mindset, It also talks about being fit and having a good sleep in order to increase your survival skills and a lot. My favourite part is the first aid chapter which teaches us to treat different conditions with what is around us ie, nature which I​ think everybody should know.
